College classes can be hard. You will be treated like any other college student. Your instructor doesn’t know if you are dual enrollment or not. Some helpful hints are below:
- Read through your syllabus in the first 2 days of class.
- Understand the the classroom platform and how to submit assignments Brightspace information and tutorials here
- If your instructor is using something in addition to Brightspace for part of your work ask for help in understanding the platform.
- If ANYTHING is unclear, email your instructor from your CPCC email.
- Submit your assignments early in case you run into technical trouble. (They do not work weekends and nights)
- Online and Hybrid classes, don’t miss assignments as that denotes your attendance and attendance is mandatory. You can be dropped from the class and given an F for not attending.
- CPCC has FREE tutoring if you are struggling. Take advantage of it.
- Attend or view any WebEx meetings that are offered… they will help. (Webex if an online meeting space like Zoom)
- If you don’t see grades posting in Brightspace and you’ve submitted work, email your instructor… something could be mistake and it’s good to let them know asap
- Parents and your College and Career Advisor are a great resource if we know you need help. We do not see your Brightspace grades. Ask for help!
