City of Charlotte Mayor’s Youth Employment Program (MYEP) is a FREE CPCC course during the school year (JCRT) & SUMMMER internship program. Students apply early each school year for paid 150 hour summer internships during June & July. Over 60 possible fields of training!

Dec - Jan Applications Juniors/ Seniors
Apprenticeship 2000 is partnered with CPCC and companies to provide training, degrees, and certifications for highly skilled technical trades such as machinists, mold makers, mechatronics technicians, tool & die makers, & electricians. Free degree programs with additional 1500-6500 hours paid on the job training.

Dec - Jan Applications Senior Only
Year Up national program is partnered with CPCC focusing in Computer Sciences Skills and Banking. They provide free accelerated college courses in Cyber-Security, Programming, & Banking. After completion of the accelerated program, students are placed in paid internships with room for long-term company growth.

Mid Spring Applications Senior Only
Rise to Success enables high school graduates from CMS to earn a Nurse Aide certificate and an Associates degree in a healthcare-related discipline from CPCC. Participants are encouraged to earn their bachelor’s degree upon completion. Work related opportunities are available while in the program.

SCALE
Course Replacement (Junior / Senior) The SCALE Program is a Digital Marketing internship that allows students to gain Access to robust network of relationship within the Toyota Dealership group. Students will learn transferrable skill sets in digital, social media, and traditional marketing. Additionally, through this program students will explore entrepreneurship, management, and sales.

MeckPathways
Summer Internships (Age 16- Seniors)
Mecklenburg county internship are a great start for career in civil service and politics. Earn $15 per hour. The 8 week program runs from June 13 - August 5. Interns work around 20 hours per week and no more than 40 hours per week.

Aviation Institute of Maintenance
Spring Sophomore Year and above
Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to use their 4th block CMS course at AIM for dual credit. Aviation Mechanics are certified in a 2 year program by the Federal Aviation Administration. This dual enrollment program allows students to complete their first semester in high school by taking 1 course per semester for free. Apply spring sophmore year.

March if complete with Culinary 1 & 2
Navigate Foundation partners with Compass Food group throughout America for food services in colleges, hospitals, convention centers, and more. Student and graduates who have completed culinary 2 or higher may apply for this paid internship. High school student may also earn class credit.
