Step 1: Complete the NC Residency status.
Step 2: Apply to CPCC (include your SS#)--it is FREE and only takes 15 minutes.
Within an hour you will receive an email with your Student ID Number.
Step 3: Create your CPCC Login (Username and Password)
Step 4: Set up your CPCC student email account
Step 5*: Complete the FAFSA to begin the financial aid process (School Code: 002915).
You will likely need information from your parents tax returns.
Step 6: Make an appointment to take the Placement Tests AND use study materials to prepare.
The Placement Test are now mandatory, although some students may qualify for a test waiver.
Step 7: Submit your high school transcripts IF you meet the 2.6 un-weighted GPA requirement.
Step 8: Register for classes at CPCC, or at your high school during the month of May.
Step 9: Attend orientation in the summer of 2015 before the fall semester begins.
* The Placement Test (Step 5) can be completed before step 4 is complete.
